Bailey enjoyed spending time with Archer, the other boy really meant a lot to him. Growing up Sebastian was all he had, he adored his older twin looked up to him more than anyone else. He hated it when things were awkward between him and Bas just knowing his brother was going through something and he couldn’t even do anything about it really upset Bailey. But staying here with Archer helped even if his place made him just want to clean everything.
He looked down when Archer trailed his fingers on Bailey’s own chest and smiled. “Could you? It would be nice to spend the day with you especially since I have work myself tomorrow.” Bailey said softly smiling at Archer. “I’d rather you stay here too.” He said as he rolled over so he was on top of Archer. He leaned down and kissed him softly. “Good morning.”
"Then I’ll stay here." Archer replied, smiling up at Bailey. The boy was adorable. "I’ve got plenty of sick days, and I like having you here too much to make you leave." He slid his hands down the side of the other boy’s body, gently and slowly dragging his fingertips along. "I’ll call as soon as we decide to get out of bed. Other than that, I’m all yours for the day. You can even spend the night here again if you want. I mean… you said you have to work tomorrow, so I don’t know if you can, but…" He leaned up and kissed Bailey again, smiling against the boy’s lips. "I want you here as long as possible."
Bailey had spent the night at Archer’s after everything that happened he had been so upset and Archer had really made him feel better, he decided to stay for a little while longer. He really was enjoying spending time with him. And there really was no feeling like getting to wake up in Archer’s arms. Luckily Bailey didn’t have to work today so he could spend the whole day with Archer. “Do you have to work today?” He asked Archer turning round to face him.
When Bailey had said that he wanted to stay more than just the one night, Archer was happy. Bailey meant a lot to him, and he liked having the boy around, especially knowing that something had happened between the Smythe boys that really upset him. He had never felt that close to his own twin, so he didn’t really understand it, but he didn’t need to. He just needed to make Bailey smile.
They woke up tangled in each other, and he let out a grunted hum when he heard the question. Truthfully, yes, he did work today. But he didn’t really want to. “I could just… call in sick.” He said softly, slowly trailing his fingertips along Bailey’s chest. “I’d rather stay here, and I don’t work until night shift anyway. It’s Thursday, it’ll be slow enough that they don’t need me.”
Breakfast in bed.
Bailey was upset, he didn’t know what was going on with his brother and he wasn’t sure what he could do. He was glad he had Archer though, if not he would have been all alone. He snuggled closer to the other boy and looked up at him when he felt Archer’s fingertips on his cheek, he really was very sweet.
Bailey was being quiet in a way he had never been before, just quietly holding onto Archer as he listened to the other boy speak. “You’re very good at fixing it.” He said softly snuggling as close as possible to Archer just letting himself be held. It was a nice feeling any other time and Bailey would practically be purring, happy to have this time with Archer. But Sebastian had always been so close to him, knowing that he had upset someone he cared about was something that really affected Bailey. He just wanted to be able to make the people he cared about happy.
"Me and Bas….we had words. Not nice words I guess, it made my smile go away." Bailey knew that Archer would help him find his smile again. The other boy was so good at making him happy. "You’re very good at making me happy again though. I’m glad you’re here and that I wasn’t by myself."
After watching Bailey for a moment, Archer decided to lean in closer and brushed the tips of their noses together. The motion was slow and soft, as comforting as Archer could achieve. “Mmm, I do try.” He said softly, keeping his voice quiet. From then on, he said nothing, waiting patiently until Bailey was ready to explain his mood.
The first thing that he thought about was his earlier conversation with the other Smythe. Sebastian had been less than pleasant, and it didn’t take a genius for him to guess what it was hat had upset Bailey. He didn’t have the whole picture, but he guessed hat it had to be because of him. His heart sank as he tried to imagine the conversation that he had missed, knowing that he was probably at the center of it. He felt like he was to blame for this, at least partially. Archer was logical enough to know that the reason that Bailey was upset was because of Sebastian and the things he had said. That had nothing to do with Archer, but the content… Sebastian wouldn’t be like this if it wasn’t for Archer.
"I’m sorry he’s acting like this." Archer replied, his voice still quiet. There was absolutely no way in hell that he was going to let Bailey know that Sebastian and him had shared some unpleasant words too. It was just sad that someone who claimed to have Bailey’s well being as his top priority was responsible for this much of his pain. "I’m glad that you’re not by yourself too. Is there anything that I can do to make you feel better? I don’t think you should dwell on this.. Nobody wants you to be this upset. I know that doesn’t change anything or make this any easier, but…"
Archer hadn’t fallen asleep yet, so he’d been awake through from the moment that he had brought Bailey home until now, when the Smythe boy looked like he was about to burst into tears. Archer licked his lips, then brought a hand up to brush his fingertips along Bailey’s cheek.
"Babe.." He started, quietly, then leaned in to press a kiss to the other boy’s nose. "Come snuggle closer. You look so upset… Let me fix it." Chewing his lower lip, he looked Bailey over, trying to figure out what he could do to make things better. He didn’t know what was going on, but he didn’t like seeing the other boy upset. Bailey was always so energetic and positive, it was an awful contrast to what he saw in front of him right now.
Gently, he tugged Bailey closer, cradling him in his arms. “Come here, baby. I don’t know what to do to help, so you’ve got to help me here. I want to find that smile of yours and bring it back to you.”
↳justarcher: It’s times like these that I wish he never had to leave.
I appreciate you, that just got here, trying to tell me how to deal with my brother, that I’ve known since we were born, but the thing is… I’ll listen to all the crap and just forget about it the next second, so don’t even try. I know what Bailey likes and dislikes, Archer. But if Bailey reading into this upsets you, then yeah. We’ll make it private. But I don’t really want to keep threatening you. Once is enough. You’re not stupid.
I agree. As long as you keep making my brother happy, I won’t mind you doing it.
If you don’t know that aggression between two people that he cares about would hurt him, then you don’t know him as well as you think that you do. He’s the most caring and loving person that I’ve ever met. He wouldn’t condone or enjoy this. If it upsets him, it upsets me. I have his best interest in mind. He wasn’t very happy the last time you threatened me, and if you look at his reply to your first post, you’ll see that he wasn’t happy about this time either. As for you only needing to threaten me once? That’s obviously not true. You threatened me before, so if you really thought that once was enough, we wouldn’t be talking right now.
You’re aggressive without purpose and I’ve got a beautiful boy asleep in my arms. I’ve got better things to worry about and focus on. Goodnight, Sebastian.
